Defiance Films
 Newcomer Defiance Films, whose debut title Pleasure sold out the day it hit the streets, is teaming up with an even newer comer, Torrid Entertainment. "We're going to be distributing for Torrid," said Defiance Head of Production Keith O'Connor. "They'll be shooting in high definition, and feature all female directors. Defiance is going to do all male directors, so it'll be a nice little battle between the directors." Torrid's first, as yet untitled, effort is scheduled to begin shooting next week. The Defiance/Torrid union came about when "they [Torrid] came to us and said they were kind of molding themselves after our philosophy of doing all A-List talent," offered O'Connor. "And they knew who our salesman is, Anthony Simone, who has one of the best reputations in the business. So we negotiated a deal, and I think it'll be a really nice fit, almost like Red Light and Platinum. We tweaked what they do a little bit to match what we do, so the companies are very similar.
